Bill Liberatore
Mr. Liberatore, director of Choral Activities at Gunn, directs four choirs and teaches music theory on campus and leads an active department with performances in concerts, musicals and festivals.
In June of 2000, Mr. Liberatore was the recipient of the Principal's Cup, Gunn's teacher of the year award. He received his musical training at San Jose State University where he studied conducting and choral methods with Dr. Charlene Archibeque, one of America's foremost choral directors.
In addition to teaching and directing the many fine music students at Gunn, Mr. Liberatore is the resident musical director at TheatreWorks, one of the most acclaimed theater companies in the Bay Area. He has been a frequent recipient of the Bay Area Theatre Critics Circle Award for Best Musical Direction.
Mr. Liberatore is also an accomplished pianist and has served as the accompanist for the Coastal Region and California All-State Honor Choirs.
